Sex Therapy Certificate Program

About the Program
The OKSRI Sex Therapy Certificate program was developed in collaboration with Certified Sex Therapists, a doctoral-level pelvic floor physical therapist, and experienced clinicians who specialize in treating sexual concerns with clients in the Midwest/Southern United States.
The program consists of 153 total training hours, including 47 hours of live instruction (in person or synchronous via Zoom) and 106 hours of self-paced online learning. All training hours meet the educational standards of the Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). The total cost of the program is $5,000.
Many clinicians graduate from counseling programs without explicit training in how to talk about sex with clients—let alone how to assess and treat sexual concerns. Whether you are currently in a graduate program, a recent graduate, or a fully licensed clinician, this certificate program provides comprehensive sex education, sex-therapy-specific clinical skills, and structure opportunities to apply this knowledge to real clinical presentations.
Program Structure
In addition to online coursework, participants attend three live weekends during the 12-month program period. These sessions are held in person or synchronously via Zoom.

- Saturday March 14th 2026, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Sunday March 15th, 2026, 8:30am – 5pm
- Saturday July 18th, 2026 8:30am – 6pm
- Sunday July 19th, 2026 8:30am – 6pm
- Friday October 16th, 2026, 9am – 4pm
- Saturday October 17th, 2026, 8am – 6pm
- Sunday October 18th, 2026, 8am – 12pm
AASECT Continuing Education Credit
OKSRI is an approved provider of AASECT Continuing Education (CE) Credits. This program offers 153 AASECT CE hours, which meet the education requirements for AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) certification or may be applied towards AASECT CST renewal.
Completion of this program does not ensure or guarantee AASECT Certification.

Continuing Education
OKSRI is an approved provider of continuing education for LPCs, LMFTs, and Psychologists in the state of Oklahoma. All applicable units in this program may be used toward license renewal for these license types.

- A 30 minute interview with the program directors (scheduled after application submission)
- A $200 application fee, applied to the cost of the program upon acceptance
