Rachel Calvin, LMSW, ART
I’m Rachel Calvin, an LMSW, a provider of sex therapy, and active AASECT member. I work with individuals and partners who are ready to talk about things that have been difficult to communicate.
A lot of my work centers on helping people move from disconnection to ownership and sexual confidence, across all genders. That includes working with men, who often haven’t had a therapist take their sexuality seriously without judgment, as well as clients healing from religious shame and untangling what they were taught from what they actually want for their own bodies and relationships.
I’m a doctoral candidate building a Sexual Health Clinical Competency Framework for Social Work Practice. My research aims to change how the profession trains clinicians around sexual health so all clients receive quality care. I hold advanced training in Gottman Levels I and II and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, along with a certificate in sex therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
I love the work I do and believe it doesn’t always have to be heavy during sessions. You’ll find understanding, honesty, and support with me.
