As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I view relationships as significant to how we grow and when we suffer. Our past and present relationships and the messages we receive from society can influence how we relate to ourselves and others. Providing a safe and welcoming space, we can explore how you’ve learned to hide or protect important parts of yourself and find what works for you to authentically connect and deepen your relationships. Collaborating together about what you need or want from therapy is an important part of my approach to therapy, as you are the expert of your life.
I use mindfulness, compassion, empathy, and intersectional feminist theories to understand how others and society have influenced your development. I also have a passion for creating a safe, welcoming space for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and partners, plus working with people who might describe themselves as sensitive or neurodivergent. Hopefully, our work together leads to deeper, more meaningful connections with others and the expression of your genuine, authentic self.
